Our mission is to build Riverside’s first professional soccer club that wins on the field and makes a lasting impact off of it. Riverside Pro Soccer exists to bring our community together through the world’s game, to create a clear pathway for local players to rise from the parks of Riverside to the professional stage, and to deliver a matchday experience full of pride, culture, and excitement.
We aim to represent Riverside’s energy, resilience, and diversity every time we step on the pitch. From youth development to first-team victories, Riverside Pro Soccer will be a symbol of opportunity, belonging, and ambition. Our goal is simple: to be champions for our city, for our fans, and for the next generation.
Riverside is one of the largest cities in California, with a passionate fan base and one of the strongest youth soccer traditions in the country. Our community is ready for a professional club to call its own. There is currently a lack of entertainment options, and our team will bring a much-needed asset to the community and improve the quality of life. The AB Brown Soccer Complex housed AYSO (American Youth Soccer Organization) for many years with full-size soccer fields and will serve as the site of our Stadium.
The goal is to bring a professional men’s and women’s soccer team to Riverside. The competition level of each team will be determined based on several factors, including capitalization, ultimate ownership group and the size and scale of the stadium and ancillary real estate development.
The name of the club has not been decided yet. We look forward to engaging the local community members so we can shape and craft both teams’ identities together.
Our kick off year is dependent on where we will play. As a timeline takes shape, we’ll provide an update for when we plan to kick off.
Riverside Pro Soccer is locally led by Greg Scott, a Riverside entrepreneur, minority owner of Orange County Soccer Club, and lifelong supporter of sports. Greg has built businesses in logistics, electrical contracting, and development, creating hundreds of jobs in the region. He also serves on the Board of the Greater Riverside Chamber of Commerce and the La Sierra Business Council, where he champions local growth and community pride.
Greg and a growing group of local leaders are building an ownership team that reflects Riverside’s diversity, passion, and ambition keeping the club rooted in the city it represents.
We are also building a local ownership group that represents Riverside pride and keeps the club rooted in the community.
We plan to play in a new soccer-specific venue in Riverside. The stadium is envisioned to open with seating for thousands of fans and will feature sections for supporters, families, and premium experiences. Final details will be shared as plans move forward.
The club and its partners are exploring opportunities for a larger destination that could bring restaurants, retail, housing, sports, and community spaces to Riverside. These concepts are still under consideration and will evolve through the public process.
A professional training facility is part of the club’s long-term vision. While details are still being finalized, the goal is to provide first-class resources for the team while also creating opportunities for youth programs, clinics, and community access.
If a stadium were to materialize, we would anticipate it becoming much more than just a place to watch soccer. It could serve as a gathering place for the entire city, creating jobs, attracting concerts, festivals, and year-round events, while bringing new energy and pride to Riverside. Most importantly, it would give families and fans a true home for the game we love. With community fields and a professional training center, local kids could have more opportunities than ever to play, develop, and dream of one day going pro.
The project is privately funded.
A timeline is still being finalized and will depend based on location and the necessary approvals. We will provide an update as plans become more concrete.
Yes. Riverside Pro Soccer plans to launch a youth academy to develop the next generation of local talent. We will work hand-in-hand with existing youth programs to support, grow and strengthen the game across Riverside, while creating a clear pathway to the professional level on and off the field.
Professional soccer will boost Riverside’s economy by bringing visitors, creating jobs and driving new spending at local businesses. There is also a tremendous amount of recaptured dollars from our residents who currently leave the area looking for entertainment outside of the Riverside city limits.
The City of Riverside has been a wonderful supporter of the potential for professional soccer in our community. They have provided both direct and indirect support as we work to bring the game to Riverside. Local leaders recognize how soccer can inspire pride, create opportunities for youth, and give families a new way to come together. Their partnership helps ensure that professional soccer in Riverside is built with the community at its heart.
